26 New Water Tanks
As of 2016, Bright Eyes Uganda has installed 26 water-collection tanks throughout the village. Each new building constructed in the village provides us the opportunity to attach a gutter system to the roof that is used to drain excess rain water into a 2500 gallon tank. The first tank was named Jacob’s Well and was funded by a 12-year-old Jacob Shacter. When Jacob visited the village as an 18 year old in 2013 he was welcomed as a celebrity!
